Besides live shows in the theater, the clubs, and the recording sessions etc, teaching the drums is the most important part of my professional life. I teach drums everyone who wants to play drums no matter what is his age or his level of musical background. All he needs it is an open mind, patience and feeling like having fun.
The lessons are based on world’s standards of education. Using different methods of teaching and first of all my rich professional experience I help each of my students to become better drummer and musician, and I open for him contemporary musical world to let him better understand the role he plays as the modern drummer.
General speaking my goal is the mental and the physical drumming skill development focused on the things such as:
- construction and the sound of drums ( proper drums tuning technique etc.)
- proper hands and feet technique,
- time keeping (working with the metronome or percussion loops)
- work on grooves in variety styles of music such as: rock, classic rock, pop-rock, funk, blues, swing, Latin and others
- playing fills and solos
- reading and interpretation drum charts
- playing along audio tracks (drumless) or playing along records (transcriptions)
and more.
I prepare individually for each of students the cycle of lessons depended on his musical needs, his present skill level and according to his interests of music.
That kind of education is the easiest and the fastest way to absorb in the musical knowledge and it makes feel like having fun playing the drums, and that acts my lessons as an incredible musical adventure.
Drum lessons are available for single students and small groups as well.
